Reverse Osmosis (RO) Membranes
The RO Membrane is a major part of a Reverse Osmosis System. It is a semi-permeable membrane that allows water molecules to pass through but retains over 99.8% of all other particles in the water. The aim of Reverse Osmosis Membrane is to remove dissolve elements, bacteria, viruses, minerals, heavy metals, and pesticides from water. Although RO Membranes can last up to 2 to 3 years, it is dependent on quality of water source and the amount of usage.

Granular Activated Carbon Filter 10”
GAC filter is the first activated carbon in the water treatment and is used to remove chemicals that are dissolve in water by absorption. GAC also reduces the odour, taste and chlorine of the purified water. However, the flow rate is high and not all contaminants are trapped because of high concentration of contaminants. Some contaminants pass through the filter which are trapped in the CTO activated carbon.
CTO Activated Carbon Filter 10”
CTO represent Chlorine, Taste, and Odour. CTO filter absorbs chlorine, taste and odour thereby produce water that is much clearer in colour with a great taste. CTO filters typically use carbon that has been modified or “activated” in order to increase the surface area and have smaller pores. It traps contaminants that passed through GAC and it helps to protect RO membranes.
